• Lyons Reads Book Club, 5-6:30 pm, Hy-Vee Market Grille Express, 901 S. Fourth St. The Lyons Reads Book Club is relaxed and we have fun conversations about books and authors. We each read our own book and discuss it with our group.

• Gilda’s Club — Straight Talk About Cancer: Precision Medicine Presentation and Dinner, 6-7:30 p.m. This free program aims to educate patients and caregivers about talking with their healthcare team about medical testing. precision, biomarker testing, therapeutic decision making, targeted therapy and hereditary cancers. • Black Hawk Hiking Club, 2:30 p.m., Rock Falls Centennial Park, Rock Falls, Illinois. Hikers will take the Canal Trail, which includes a pedestrian bridge over the Rock River. Bring your own water and snack.

• Palisades Wilderness, Flora, Fauna, and Fungi at Mississippi Palisades State Park, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Savanna Museum and Cultural Center, 406 Main St., Savanna. Join the University of Illinois Extension Master Naturalist and Stewards of the Mississippi River to explore the flora, fauna, and fungi of Mississippi Palisades State Park. This program will begin at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center; 406 Main St., Savanna, where presenters will talk about the native flora, fauna and fungi of Mississippi Palisades State Park. The program will end with a walk of the Sentinel Trail in the park. Walking the trail is optional, you can choose to take the education at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center only.

• Spring Valley Reformed Church, 10960 Spring Valley Road, Fulton, Illinois, hosts Sacred Call Ministries on its outdoor stage at 6 p.m. May 30. A voluntary offering will be taken. In case of bad weather, the concert will be moved indoors. A barbecue meal, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans and desserts will be served from 4:30 p.m. until the start of the concert at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal will be a donation.

• Davenport’s Marcie Siegel will conclude the DeWitt Noon Lions Club 2022 Travel Diaries series with a ‘Dubai Reprise’. Shows are at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Operahouse Theater in downtown DeWitt. A donation of $5 is suggested. No place is reserved.

• ABATE from the 33rd Annual Iowa Bike Blessing, 1 p.m., downtown Fulton, Illinois. Preacher Dan and Father Matthew will officiate. There will be outdoor coffee vendors. All vehicles are welcome. • Clinton Symphony Orchestra’s free annual Riverfront Pops Concert, 6:30 pm at the Riverview Bandshell, Clinton. Brian Dollinger is the conductor. The full 50-piece orchestra performs stage and screen music, as well as patriotic selections. Pre-concert activities for children, hosted by the Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center, will begin at 5:30 p.m.

• YWCA 50+ Club One-Mile Hike the Dike Poker Walk to Celebrate Strong and Steady for Life, 1:30 p.m. Participants will meet at the picnic table just south of the Clinton Area Showboat Theater on Riverview Drive. As walkers travel along the Clinton River, they collect playing cards at stops along the way. Prizes will be awarded to walkers with the three best poker hands at the end of the one mile walk. A short program, “Senior Solutions”, will be given by Jon and Arden Schwenker of IowaIllinois Senior Solutions. Sweets will be served during this time. Register at the YWCA front desk or call to register at 242-2110. Participation is free and all are welcome.
