The only Expo 2020 Dubai hotel is now accepting reservations – for 1,000 Dh per night

The only hotel on the Expo 2020 Dubai site has opened its doors to reservations.

The Rove Expo 2020 was billed as having the best seats in the house given its breathtaking view of Al Wasl Plaza, one of the main attractions of the event.

The square’s enormous trellis dome will host the opening ceremony on October 1, where images will be shown on the world’s largest 360-degree projection surface.

People have been unable to travel for over 12 months. They are setting dates for the future.

The hotel’s rooftop pool and most of the 300+ rooms overlook the dome.

Rooms cost from 1,000 Dh ($ 272) per night and include Expo 2020 tickets for the duration of the stay.

Paul Bridger, COO at Rove Hotels, said staff were processing inquiries from more than 1,500 people even before reservations opened.

“We will have a breathtaking view of the action and the event. We have already had a huge response and a number of reservations, ”said Mr. Bridger. The National.

“We received 1,500 email inquiries from people asking when can they book. There is so much waiting for the Expo event itself and the hotel is one of them. There are a lot of pent-up requests.

“A lot of people haven’t been able to travel for over 12 months. They are really looking forward to the next time they can travel and are locking their dates for the future. “

Within 100 days of arrival, GCC tourists, Expo support staff, artists and performers have already made reservations.

“We have seen a lot of requests from the region and some are from people related to the event,” he said.

“There is a lot of anticipation in the United Arab Emirates but also abroad.”

Being the only place to stay on the 438-acre site, the hotel has an advantage.

Other hotels are within a 15-minute drive in the surrounding areas of South Dubai and Dubai Investment Park. The Dubai Marina district is approximately 20 minutes away.

Visitors plan to stay at the Expo as part of their trip to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.

“They want to spend a day or two at the Expo and explore other parts of the city,” said Mr. Bridger.

“So we see a lot of people asking to spend a night or two at Rove Expo 2020 and then stay at another hotel, maybe downtown or at the marina, as part of their trip.”

Mr Bridger believes demand will continue to grow from the 5% occupancy recorded in the last four days since reservations opened.

“People believe and have confidence that Dubai will put on such a big show that they are really looking forward to their seat,” said Mr Bridger.

“We expect the demand to be very high.”
